Firm Bleeker

In the 60’s Cor de Ruijter started with a vegetable nursery garden and I started working at Cor’s company at the age of 16. Back then we worked with only the vegetables: leek, endive and spinach. I took over the company completely in the year 2000.

Then we started in fixed plants and now we cultivate fixed plants of seed for postorder companies. We do that with a fixed group of people:
Jan, Piet, Nico, Pablo, Goska, Krekor, Cor , Janneke en Kees

Besides that we also cultivate summer flowers, like peonies, asclepias, veronicastrum, iris and as main product agapanthussen in the varieties of the brewer, queen of Ocean, polar ice, Volendam, Columba, Sunfield and some now varieties of breeder Kees van Duivenoorde. We try to lengthen the season for the agapanthussen by cultivating all these species and bringing fresh flowers to the auctions.
